At 16:23 hours Company 7 and surrounding companies were alerted for a building fire in the Port Republic Section of the first due, Engine 72 (Lt. Weems) Tanker 7 (C. Lankford) and The Fire Chief (Weems) Responded. E72 arrived to find a single story commercial building with smoke showing from the roof line.
