Early morning Christmas Eve, units were alerted for a house fire in the Drum Point Area. Engine 71 (Sgts Weems and Schooley) responded along with Tanker 7 and Chief 7A (Richman) as the South Duty Chief.
First arriving units reported light smoke coming from the eves and an odor of smoke in the residence. Units were able to locate a fire in the bedroom/closet wall extending to the attic area. Engine 71 assisted with opening up the ceiling and walls and extinguishment of the fire. Command quickly scaled back the assignment holding it with Solomons, St. Leonard and Bay District Tower 9.
Safety Officer 3A held command and Chief 7A had operations.
Crews from St. Leonard also responded to 2 medical calls while units were operating on this fire.
