Bright Center West Building Fire

On January 6th, 2016, at approximately 0027 hours, the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted on the 2nd alarm to the Bright Center West Building in Dunkirk, MD for the working building fire. Engine 71 (Sgt. Davis) and Tanker 7 (C. Hosselrode) immediately responded with approximately 7 personnel. Once Co.7 units arrived on the scene they assisted with water supply, extinguishment, and overhaul of the building. Co. 7 units operated on the scene for approximately two hours before being released. During the incident, one of our firefighters received a minor injury but is expected to make a full recovery without any long-term effects.
