On December 10th, 2015 at approximately 1509 hours the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted for the House Fire at 8150 Ash Lane. Engine 71 (Capt. Buckmaster), Squad 7 (Sgt. Gilbert), Tanker 7 (J. Anderson), Ambulance 78 (Nero), and Brush 7 (M. Midkiff) immediately responded with approximately 10 personnel. Engine 71 arrived on the scene first to find a one-story single-family with smoke showing from side alpha and established the "Ash Lane" command. Engine 71 then quickly deployed their 200' bumper-line and found a small kitchen fire inside the residence in the alpha quadrant. The fire was quickly extinguished and remaining units assisted with checking for extension and ventilating the structure. Crews from the St. Leonard VFD operated on the scene for just over an hour.
