By Assistant Chief Thomas Buckmaster
December 19, 2018

On Wednesday, December 19th, 2018 at approximately 1700 hours, the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted to Northbound 2/4 in the area of H.G Trueman Road for the serious auto accident, with CCSO Deputies on scene reporting one occupant in the car with agonal breathing. Chief 7A, Engine 72, and Ambulance 77 immediately responded. Chief 7A then arrived to find a two vehicle t-bone style collision and established command. Chief 10 along with a CCSO Deputy on scene decided to rapidly extricate the priority 1 patient and move her into Ambulance 77, Chief 10 and the crew from Ambulance 77 then quickly packaged and eventually transferred the patient to Trooper 7 who then transported the patient to a local trauma center. Ultimately three other priority 3 patients were transported to CHMC by Ambulance 387 as well. Company 7 units operated for one hour.

Units: Chief 7A, Engine 72, Ambulance 77
