March 3, 2018

On March 3rd, 2018 at approximately 1357 hours, the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted to Southbound Route. 4 in the area of Broomes Island Road for the auto accident. Chief 7A, Squad 7, Engine 71, and Ambulance 77 immediately responded. While en-route, Chief 10 arrived on scene to find a two vehicle t-bone style collision. Chief 7A then arrived on scene and established the "Broomes Island" command. After discussion with Chief 10, It was determined that there were two patients and both needed to be transported to trauma facilities therefore aviation was requested for both patients. Both patients were then packaged by Ambulance 47 and Ambulance 77 while Squad 7 and Engine 71 secured a landing zone on Route. 4.
